I was driving around enjoying the nice weather yesterday, when I decided to stop at this pizza parlor in Boonton I’ve been to a few times before. I pulled into the Walmart shopping complex to grab a few slices at Delizia Pizza Kitchen (No relation to the other restaurants. Upon arrival, the restaurant was treated to a free show outside as Boonton police arrived to tow an angry woman’s car. I enjoyed this spectacle while eating their Chicken Bacon Ranch and Buffalo slices.
The main grievance with these slices was the thick crust. I personally am not a fan of doughy, fluffy crusts but I tried it yesterday. Also I needed to spend a ten-dollar minimum to use my debit card (which sucked since I didn’t have cash). The doughy crust did not compliment the toppings as well as a thin crust would have. The ranch dressing spilled off my slice taking all the toppings with it. The buffalo slice was a let down. The sauce used was very bland. It had only a slight kick to its spiciness.
All in all the pizza was mediocre at best. If you’re in Boonton, there are several better places to grab a slice. The other two restaurants that share the name are much more preferable as well.
